Blog Review: Ottawa Rickshaws

I am always on the lookout for new blogs that I can link to.  Sometimes linking to a site, however, does not provide enough information to potential readers on what they can expect.  That is why starting today I plan to provide short reviews of different blogs that I come across, to help blogging-enthusiasts pick out the ones that they would like to read.

Ottawa Rickshaws was founded in 2005 and has become a huge local tourist attraction.  It also provides a great outing for local residents who want to have some fun.  When walking around the Byward Market I regularly see smiling people being "driven" by the company's athletic chauffeurs, while imaging what it would be like to be an employee. (Alas, my thirty-something knees usually put those fantasies to rest).  The company focuses on trips in the Market, Elgin Street, Major's Hill Park and Parliament Hill.

The company's blog provides listings of local events in town, while recent posts have included beer and wine reviews, thoughts on how to make Ottawa a more liveable city, and some reflections on the 2013 Bluesfest lineup.  If you want to know about local events and get some tips on what to do in the city then this site is one that you should check out.
