The music post that I published last Monday worked fairly well, so in keeping with the growing trend of theme days (e.g. Book Review Friday and Recipe Sunday), today is the first post of Music Monday, when I provide a round-up of local music blogs. Of course, if their is breaking music-related news during the week or the weekend, I will make sure to have it up before Monday.
New Releases
Matías Muñoz of Ottawa Showbox notes that local synth-pop group Silkken Laumann have released Obvious Water/Yer a Kitten, the third single from their upcoming album Not Forever Enough, which is scheduled to come out this summer. (Note: PhotogMusic and National Capital Rock have posted photos of the Silkken Laumann and Hilotrons concert at Babylon Nightclub on March 15).
In another post, Matias writes about a recent teaser video by Roberta Bondar, shot on location at the Kichissippi Brewery, in advance of the release of their full-length album on March 22.
Spotlight Ottawa, meanwhile, reports that local hip hop-indie rock artists Zoo Legacy have released their second video single from their album City Light Glow.
